Privacy Policy

Information we collect

  • Account: name, email, and profile photo from Google, the email used for a one-time code, or the Facebook profile if you use that button.
  • Files you upload or that backup uploads after you turn it on. Scan text is stored with the file so you can search it.
  • Photo location only when that setting is on. A shared JPEG has location removed.
  • Usage needed to run the service: today’s uploads, Gold, Premium status, and the time-zone offset so the daily limit resets at your midnight.
  • Google Play purchase tokens. We never see your card number.
  • On the free plan, Google AdMob may use the advertising ID, IP address, and ad interactions. In the EEA and the UK the app asks first. Change it under Me → Ad privacy choices.
  • Firebase Analytics and crash data.
  • AI, only when you use it: your message and the document you pick go to Google Gemini or OpenAI to produce the answer.

How we use it

To store files, sign you in, apply the limits shown in the app, confirm Play purchases, show ads to free users, stop abuse, and answer support. We do not sell personal data or the contents of your files.

Who else processes data

  • Hetzner Online GmbH (EU) hosts the servers.
  • Google: Sign-In, Play Billing, AdMob, and Firebase Analytics.
  • Meta: Facebook Login, only if you choose it.
  • Google Gemini or OpenAI, only for an AI request you start.

How long we keep data

  • Files stay while the account is open. Free storage is 50 GB plus any bonus.
  • Trash keeps a file 10 days on the free plan and 30 days on Premium.
  • A guest account that is not used is removed after 30 days.
  • Deleting the account in the app removes it from the live servers at that moment. An email request is finished within 30 days. See Delete your account.

Children

SUPERBOX is not directed at children under 13, or under 16 in the EEA. The terms require you to be 18 to create an account.
